Let’s create a policy to address the student loan crisis that’s affecting so many hardworking families. As a dedicated nurse and nurse practitioner, I’m committed to paying my student loans, but the current terms make it impossible to keep up. On top of that, my son, who’s training to become a pilot, faces $200,000 in education debt. We want to honor our financial commitments, but the weight of this debt is overwhelming. Could we consider a fair solution, like a modest tax specifically for those with student loan debt, to help ease the burden? We’re willing to contribute, but we need a system that’s actually manageable. Please, we need support for families like ours. Clear out the debt and create a tax. If we can bail every other country out, why not our hardworking Americans. We would have to show that we are working and contributing back to get relief. Not just for non profit but working in all organizations that have cost us so much money. As kids we are Brainwashed into thinking we have to get an education to be worth anything. It’s so corrupt while these universities spend millions on sports arenas.

I agree!! I haven’t missed a student loan payment in 10 years, even paid through the pandemic and still haven’t made a dent in my loans.
I agree with restructuring the student loans. They should not be structured as revolving debt. Instead, they should be fixed term, fixed payment debts.
Additionally, no more loans for room and board and transportation costs. No cash to the student. Too many people fall in the trap of borrowing for their living expenses in addition to their tuition costs. That is what causes the huge principle amount.
This is a good idea.
I post a similar idea. Mine was Student Loan elimination through Proportional Reduction in Future Social Security Benefits
