Strategic reposition for a Peacetime Economy

In order to maintain a peaceful future, America must be repositioned economically and militarily to enhance our prosperity while discouraging foreign threats to our homeland and trade.

  1. Modify the force structure of our military towards greater active duty naval projection of power.

  2. Reduce the active duty Army and Marine Corps personnel numbers while maintaining the training facilities and equipment necessary for a rapid increase in force size.

  3. Expand the role of the Space Force to include the implementation and control of a Space-based, counter-ICBM weaponized satellite network; this may have been expensive in the past but SpaceX makes this a viable option for eliminating the Existential threat of thermonuclear war.

  4. Modify the mission of the Air Force to move away from rapid deployability in favor of the lower maintenance cost of strategic positional defense; this allows room in the budget to maintain technological and numerical superiority in our fighter and bomber forces.

  5. Implement tax incentives for businesses that possess manufacturing capabilities that are critical for producing weapons and systems in case of a sudden change towards war; this serves the purposes of bringing technologically challenging manufacturing back to the United States while ensuring a ready-reserve of wartime manufacturing capability.

Bonus: Create tax incentives policy that decentralizes our power grid for resilience in times of being attacked. While redundancies can be a reasonable strategy for maintaining interconnectivity and dependability, the ultimate route towards energy security is localized energy storage. Having the capacity to maintain full economic activity during times of grid failure is a social and national security issue. The cost of this backup power can be completely offset within a 15 year timeframe by charging a portion of the backup power during the night while energy demand is lower and using a portion of the backup power during the day while energy is in higher demand. This has the potential to double the energy productivity of base load power plants like nuclear while better utilizing renewables.
