Stop subsidizing hyper palatable food

Objective:
To promote public health by eliminating federal subsidies for foods that are considered hyper-palatable, thus reducing the prevalence of unhealthy dietary choices and lowering associated health risks, such as obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease.

Background:
Hyper-palatable foods are those specifically engineered to be highly appealing and difficult to resist due to their excessive levels of sugar, fat, and/or salt. Studies show that these foods contribute to unhealthy eating patterns, food addiction, and an increased risk of chronic health conditions. Currently, federal subsidies support the production of ingredients commonly used in hyper-palatable foods, inadvertently promoting their consumption and undermining public health efforts. All of this in turn creates a docile, lazy society that eats their way to a slow societal collapse.
