Every time I take my children to the dentist, they ask about permission to use fluoride. I say no and then get strange looks. If it’s not safe for drinking water, it’s probably not safe to apply directly to teeth or even use in the toothpaste they use in the dentist offices. How can we fix this issue and educate people more so they can make more informed decisions? While on this topic, I understand that fluoride-free toothpaste has xylitol in it. Isn’t this also bad for you? What do other more health conscious countries use for dental hygiene?
