2025 Medicare IRMAA Surcharges are hurting seniors on a fixed income. I had no idea that Social Security was going to pull my 2023 tax records and provide my Total Gross Income to Medicare. Had I known, I would have never transferred some of my mutual funds to another financial institution. Now I am paying $100 more per month for Medicare Part B and D in 2025. THIS IS WRONG! It was my savings, not income. I reinvested all the money from the sale of my funds into another financial institution. This will be a financial burden as food, utilities, gas, taxes, insurance are increasing and I only got a minimal increase on my retirement check. I filed an appeal disputing the increase, but it was denied. This is criminal what our Government is doing to seniors!!! PLEASE STOP THIS SCAM!!!

One more thing. So when seniors need to do home repairs and dental work every time we pull money from savings to pay for these expenditures that will be applied to our Total Gross Income which will affect our Medicare IRMAA Surcharge . I live in an older home and Iām looking at replacing the HVAC system, replacing the hot water heater, and major upcoming dental work (no insurance) and all this money will be coming from my savings. Not right!!!

Exactly! The entire Medicare system is messed up. They just want to take everything!
