Far too often we are denied treatment or medications due to the insurance companies or pharmacies over stepping the doctor/physician. The patient then suffers. For example, if patient needs MRI, they shouldn’t have to do 12 weeks of painful physical therapy or dangerous injections before they will approve it. Nor should the pharmacy deny medicine simply because they don’t think it is warranted. The patient is suffering. They are not getting the quality of care needed.

It’s ridiculous, they’re practicing medicine without ever seeing the patient. They should be held liable for malpractice, especially if it’s some poorly trained NP or a doctor not even in the same specialty who’s declining the order during a P2P
