The Council on Foreign Relations details military and economic transfers to foreign countries in a handy chart form. According to a chart spanning the years 1946-2024, the United States has delivered more than $300 billion in cumulative military and economic financial transfers to Israel. The chart highlights that Israel is the “largest cumulative recipient of U.S. foreign aid since its founding”. How much peace in the Middle East has this massive outlay of U.S. spending produced? To date, Israel has frequently warred with its neighbors, annexed territory from its neighbors, convinced the U.S. to back its wars both economically and with arms transfers, and conducted extreme ethnic cleansing campaigns in Gaza, the West Bank of the Jordan River, East Jerusalem, and Lebanon, with other recent hostile actions against Syria, Yemen, Iraq, and Iran. It is expected that hostilities by Israel in the Middle East would diminish if countries such as the U.S. would cease all military and economic transfers of the fruits of taxpayer industry.
