As a 38 year old woman who has worked in the home health field my entire adult life it is awful that we still don’t get any kind of insurance/benefits. My bosses go to anything they can to have our voices heard by politicians and fight for us, and still we have no insurance, no vacation time, no PTO and some are still making $12 an hour. I’ve stayed in this field because I love what I do, and our job is very important. We help keep our elderly in their homes when otherwise it wouldnt be possible, and out of nursing homes.
