I’m 31 and have never wanted social security. The government needs to introduce and opt out for younger people that choose to save how THEY want to save, not the government. I am responsible for my own financial future, not the government. Social Security is impossible to keep afloat. Stop adding future liabilities to it, and start phasing it out. This forces Americans to thinking on their feet again.
The Bill:
Anyone born after 2026 does not receive Social Security.
Anyone under age 20 is returned 75% of what they paid in.
Under Age 30… 70% of what was paid in.
Under Age 40…. 60% of what was paid in.
Under Age 50…. 50% of what was paid in.
You get the idea. Basically it’s a buy out on a flawed promise finally acknowledged by the government.
