Social Media influencers must disclose if a video is sponsored by a political organization

Political TV ads already disclose which group paid for the ad.

Social media influencers are becoming a bigger part of our lives, especially with the youth, and it’s known that political groups are paying influencers to speak about certain topics and/or support a candidate/party. The same standard should apply.

This article FEC Adopts New Disclosure Rule for Digital Political Ads | Political Law Briefing shows the FEC was recently updating the disclosure rule for digital political ads, and these social media posts, whether they are 15 seconds or 4 hours long, should be included.
