I genuinely believe a huge part of our youths mental health crisis is related to the use of smart phones and having unrestricted access to the internet. There needs to be regulations for minors having/using smartphones… maybe a requirement that the bark software be utilized if a parent wants their kid to have a smartphone.
Some parents believe they monitor their childs phone adequately but the youth are SMART, they know how to hide the things they wouldnt want their parents to see.
Bark software ir bark phones does the monitoring for them, it alerts the parent of lewd photos being sent or reveived, cases of cyber bullying, or keywords or phrases such as “youre mature for your age” or other dialogue.

The problem is that many if not most parents who hand their kid a smartphone see an issue. They do not understand that young men and boys are getting to see porn at an earlier and earlier age and we know from psychology studies that the reward system in the brain for something like causes a meed for more intensity which is why we now see that the majority that is viewing child po is men in their early 20s… aka, men who got access to porn (and i dont mean the petty magazine kind) at 9, 10 years old.
This causes so many issues in so many areas of life in vastly different ways.
