School lunches should be free for all students pre-k-12 grade there is no reason children that are required to go to school should have to pay for the bare minimum of food the schools put out. Parents socioeconomic status should not inhibit children from eating 2 meals a day. Children also need snacks throughout their day to sustain productive energy levels for better focus. I know there are some places and children this is used for but no where in this country should children be deprived of food while getting a public education.
