I personally know of a young man who was convicted at the age of 18. When you’re 18, you really don’t understand the law in papers that you sign. They give you a plea of two years and then you have to be a registered sex offender. In that moment, many people do not understand what that means.

And who’s fault is that? And if not 18, what age do you purpose? And if you are not adult enough to understand your actions have consequences, and the ability to agree to and sign plea bargains, are you really old enough the have “consensual sex”?
