Revisiting the 22nd Amendment

Hi, all! New user, first time Policy poster.

A lot has been said about Congressional term limits…

What about revisiting the 22nd Amendment after this election provided DJT wins?

Change the Presidency from 2 possible 4 year terms to 1 term of 6 years of service? President essentially spends 2 years trying to get re-elected as it is.

Like anything else, benefits & detriments…biggest detriment being an administration as horrendous as the current one gets into power.

Begin this for the 2028 election. Get in, serve your term, get out, & have a new President every 6 years.

Keep the provision in place if the VP becomes President 2 years into the term that they can run as the candidate. The VP could then potentially serve for 8 years (2 as VP & 6 as President). As it stands now, it’s possible for a VP to serve 10 years if they become President 2 years into a term.

Thoughts?

Good in theory, but is this really what we want him spending his political capital on?
