I had a couple non-violent felonies twenty some years ago (possession of cocaine and fleeing and eluding). I served my time and have been in zero trouble since. I still cannot legally purchase or have possession of a firearm for hunting or self protection in home.
I recently had a fox pick off two of my barn cats and i cant even go get a .22 rifle to dispatch him.
