Explanation & Justification

My policy offers a more descriptive way to implement restoration of voting and firearm rights to non-violent felons.

I think this is all way too detailed in my opinion. If one has been convicted of a non violent felony and has paid his/her debt to society by serving time, probation, financial resitution etc… then I see no reason why the label of felony should not be completely erased after a certain period of time (say 5 or 10 years) with all right restored completely and immediately after fullfilling that time requirement given the person has kept themselves clean. When we screw up then we should have the opportunity to pay our debt to society and move on with our lives. Having the label of felon has serious ramifications that will follow you for the rest of your life. That is not American if you ask me.
