Require Proper Identification To Vote In ALL States

I’ve noticed that not all states require proper identification nor proof of identity of an individual in order vote. This is a breach of security and safety for the american people and needs to be stopped before it messes with the integrity of our country today.

Never again should we have to worry about people casting votes for others, unregistered individuals finding ways to vote, the controversies of voting (ex: “dead” people voting) or allowing people without proper US identification to vote.

Voting is a right giving to the american people and should be treated with respect. we should require US citizens to:
1.) Show a valid photo ID, Passport, or Drivers License
2.) Show proof and confirm that all information on ID is correct and matches the individual trying to vote. exs: proof of address, confirming photo matches, confirming id is not expired or fake, and etc.

states to this day that does not require and ID to vote:

  • California
  • Hawaii
  • Illinois
  • Maine
  • Maryland
  • Massachusetts
  • Minnesota
  • Nevada
  • New Jersey
  • New Mexico
  • New York
  • Pennsylvania
  • Vermont

This is my first time submitting a policy idea! please comment anything you think should be added to help put this in the right direction!

I agree with your position it should be a mandatory requirement for all states furthermore if you notice the list of states who do not require voter identification are all liberal states

For years I have said the same thing, biometrics for voting. It could be a thumb print or facial recognition, we can not operate an app without biometrics or board a plane without a scan This should not be difficult at all. This should be number 1 solution.

A lot of work needs done with the vote. States should also be required to get votes counted and submitted within a specific timeframe, fix the machine issues ( tossing them out works!) and making sure those who try break the rules have the reproductions they are supposed to. The list goes on…

In the states of Utah and Colorado, I was required to present my certified birth certificate, not photo copied or a screen shot from my phone. There were other things as well, but this stood out in my mind.

This was required because states were issuing special licenses that had to match certain parameters in order to be legal. I feel that it should be mandatory so that when presented to whomever it will be understood to have passed all criteria and it is legitimate. I believe the same care should be required for voting.

Not everyone can be finger printed without a great deal of effort. I have finger prints, but they do not clearly print. The best likeness has essentially been on a type of printer that scanned my hand and took a type of image that could be read. That sort of biometrics won’t work in all cases.

i recently went on a cruise and they were actually using facial recognition instead of checking passports. i felt like this was so cool and if they trust that system they should be able to make a reliable system for voting,

I am actually proposing legislation in 100% opposition to this. The violations we saw under Pres. Obama (who set the foundations) and Pres. Biden (COVID policies, persecution of J6ers, and hundreds of other lawfare cases, including President Trump) is a strong reminder that you don’t want to be at the mercy of an anti-citizen government. We don’t want any kind of version of the vaccine passport or the Chinese Social Credit System - which have already made inroads in the U.S. and needs to be stopped.

Obama’s building of the 1 million + (1 million +!!) sq ft Utah Data Center (UDC), also known as the Intelligence Community Comprehensive National Cybersecurity Initiative Data Center in 2012 - leaves every American’s privacy violated. Actually every person foreign or national on US soil violated.

One of the most import policies to me that I will propose is that biometic ID be 100% voluntary forever more, with EASY and EQUAL alternatives (no penalty, offering the same services for which the ID is required) if a person does not wish to engage. At the moment, for example, in Colo, without a biometric ID you can not receive unemployment. And you can not get a guard card in Denver, required for many to work. So in both cases you are out money and livelihood if you do not comply to a biometric ID.

You are welcome to a biometric ID if that is your desire. Please, just do not impose that on your fellow citizens.

I agree with many of your statements we do understand that our prints and facial ID of almost every US Citzens is stored in data bases. For instance I agree 100% on this point “We don’t want any kind of version of the vaccine passport or the Chinese Social Credit System - which have already made inroads in the U.S. and needs to be stopped.” Voluntarily using biometrics is a good idea, How do we define those who are legally registered to vote as US Voters vs non legal voters?
