Title IV D is responsible for the injustice in the family court system. It provides incentives to states and local courts to collect child support. Most times custody of a child is based on who will contribute the most child support, which In most cases, that’s the father. There is an outdated perspective in family court. That the mother is the care giver and the father is the bread winner. This is rarely applicable in today’s society. Children need both parents equally if both parents are fit. Men have to fight for their rights and most women are given rights off the start. Equality in family court is important for the next generations of children.
