Repeal The NFA act!

The National Firearms Act should be repealed as it serves no real purpose.

It was created in 1934 to combat the sale of automatic weapons and make it harder to come by and combat crime in regards to weapons like Saw-Off shotguns.

This Act is now obsolete.

Suppressors can be home made and hasnt stopped some from making them anyways without going through the proper channels.

Short barreled rifles are not considered pistols.

The department to approve these are severely understaffed and take long hours. All gun owners go through a background check prior to acquiring a firearm. They cannot possess one legally without going through a background check in any state. It is redundant to do a background check just to submit more information for a background check again.

If I purchase a suppressor and do not have firearms, then that suppressor is inert and serves no purpose. To use it with a firearm, I have to purchase a firearm, which I will go through another background check for.

When it comes to government overspending, having a department that is dedicated to do these background checks that take upwards of over a year, it is essentially useless.

REPEAL THE NFA and let everyone enjoy safer shooting solutions and project our hearing!

I agree with this 100%, the NFA needs to go and there is no tradition of this in the time of the founding fathers and its time for the over reach to stop.
