Senators are currently elected by direct election of the voters. Senators campaign on appealing directly to the desires of the people, not the States that they represent. This drives the Senators to campaign along party platforms and not what is in the best interest of the states that they represent.

Absolutely Agree this should be paramount! States can repeal their senators if they are not representing the state.
