The Government shall not dictate that light bulbs be certain number of lumens and repeal the laws created that are driving this. Consumers shall be allowed to choose for themselves.
Although LED bulbs cost a little more than the other bulbs, they actually provide brighter lighting, with lower wattage, lowers your energy usage, therefor creating lower energy bills. I was skeptical about them as well at first, but after using them I saw a significant difference in my power bill.
Good point. Are we discussing a light bulb crisis in pet stores?
The only pet related lighting thing I can think of, is some reptiles require full spectrum light. Some animals need the full spectrum of light, from infrared to ultraviolet (B) to maintain health. There are specific florescent lighting for reptiles and fish.
They do not work for reptile cages. These bulbs are to maintain temperature and the new law affecting this is terrible and needs to be repealed
Yes. I was informed we cannot get the correct bulbs for our lizard’s cage because the law changed regarding the bulbs and pet suppliers are scrambling to try to figure this out so supply is low
Yes we are facing supply issues for pet stores. They do not work for reptile cages. These bulbs are to maintain temperature and the new law affecting this is terrible and needs to be repealed
I’d appreciate a link to read the text of that law.
You can google it but just in case
It is common knowledge that everyone knows that reptile habitats require either warm natural environment or heat lamps. If you are using LED bulbs for reptile habitats then you really shouldn’t be an employee, manager or owner of a pet store.
