Repeal Beneficial Ownership Information Reporting

The BOI reporting requirement is a federal government over reach for small business owners. The requirement to report owner information of state chartered entities for the purported purpose of aiding in financial crimes and money laundering places an unnecessary burden on small business owners. The federal government has access to this informaron through Secretary of State inquiries for any entity active or inactive. The entire BOI reporting requirement is a complete waste of time and resources for business owners operating with limited resources.

100% agree with this I don’t have time to read the fine print like everything else with the government there is a loop forward or something to lock you in a contract for some reason that is not to our benefit

To me, this is a very important issue. We the people are supposed to know about our government officials. They do not need to know all about the citizens. I own a small sub shop and I can’t imagine why they need to know more about me than what is available through what they already collect. A place like mine doesn’t earn enough to be involved in laundering or ‘financial crimes’. It’s all we can do to stay in business.
I’m hoping that under President Trump this will be repealed. It’s just more over-reach.

This is government overreach and a big waste of taxpayer dollars. Small business employs 50% of non-government workers, let’s stop the attack and support those who support America!
