Why can’t we re-name and reclassify the procedures women need to handle non-viable pregnancies and make those procedures available to women without being part of the abortion controversy? If a pregnancy is not viable, we need to be able to get medical attention just as we would if our appendix was no longer viable and working. Women dealing with a loss deserve a more compassionate and less triggering name for the procedure – even if it is the exact same procedure used to terminate a viable pregnancy. Dealing with a non-viable pregnancy (ie no heartbeat or an ectopic) is very different than choosing to terminate a viable pregnancy. Non-viable and viable pregnancies should be separated and treated differently. Take the non-viable pregnancies out of the debate. No this won’t end the abortion debate but it will be a big step forward that I believe both sides can support.

Agreed! I have proposed a very detailed federal exception law that includes “nonviable pregnancy” as one of the exceptions.
Would you please consider it?
