A bill to remove independent state’s ability to place taxes or fees on goods deemed basic needs. Food, electricity, water, automotive fuel, any fuels needed for heating or powering homes.
California is the highest taxed state on fuels and it directly impacts all families. No one should have to choose between eating dinner or putting gasoline in your car to go to work. Or not have money for gas to pay for an over priced and over taxed item.
Over taxation without representation of any and all citizens should not be allowed. This should be considered a constitutional right to be able to afford basic goods.
