When startups succeed ( like Facebook, Google, Airbnb, Coinbase) they return billions of dollars to their investors. But because of SEC rules, only the wealthy can benefit because you must be an accredited investor to invest in startups and venture capital funds.
These rules were created almost 100 years ago and need to be revisited to allow the average American to benefit from investing in fast growing businesses and the funds that invest and support them.
