To run you need many millions of dollars. The elected pay this back in favors for the donors or else they would not get the funding. We need to remove money from the equation. This can be done either with allowing only candidates with a set number of people who sign their petitions to run or giving all those running equal portions from a set pot of money. Those currently in office cannot use their normal working time to campaign. I would also make it the law that all campaign promises should be treated as a contract with the American people and violating them would be equal to breaking a contract and damages incurred.
