Estrogen has been rising at alarming levels in our drinking water. Here is an exert from a 2010 study, “Detection of estrogens in the environment has raised concerns in recent years because of the potential of these compounds to affect both wildlife and humans. The incomplete removal by publicly owned treatment works (POTWs) of excreted endogenous estrogens and prescribed estrogens leads to their introduction into surface waters and potentially into drinking water sources that rely on surface water. Estrogens, specifically estrone (E1), 17β-estradiol (E2), estriol (E3), and ethinyl estradiol (EE2), have been detected in numerous studies of wastewater influents and effluents”
Yes, girls peeing out excess birth control contributes but is NOT a main factor. One of the main factors is livestock and the awful amount of growth hormones and hormones for reproduction the we use on the animals we consume.(this is a good chance to find a farm that does not vaccinate or add hormones and shots to the cows and pigs that you eat and feed your family). Their waste poisons our water, streams, ponds, lakes, etc.
The studied effects have mostly been conducted on wildlife, mainly freshwater aquatic wildlife. A controlled study in Great Britain introduced the synthetic estrogen in a lake that was made up of small aquatic life. It led the lake to near extinction. It saw a drastic decrease of reproduction, which hurt the eco-system. It led to a scarce food supply for bigger fish, which led to them dying off, and then stopped the birds from being there because of a lack of fish. This is what we need to consider an existential crisis. This is HAPPENING NOW IN AMERICA.
Is this why we are seeing all time low birth rates in America?? Is this why the LGTB community has grown at significant rates??
I am not sure of the full answers here as there is not as many studies as we need to be seeing that I am aware of. All I know is THIS IS A CRISIS this will continue to get worse and worse. We HAVE to get estrogen, fluoride, atrazine, barium, nitrates, turbidity, lead, copper, lithium, PFBS, PFBA, PFHxA, PFOA, and PFPeA OUT OF THE WATER FOR THE HEALTH OF OUR NATION
