If you want to actually make a difference in your four years, you would reinstate Roe V. Wade. Leaving it up to the states was the BIGGEST mistake you could’ve made. It should be no one’s decision, other than qualified Drs., on whether or not what a woman should do with her body. If you look anywhere on the wide internet, you will find stories where none of the women wanted their abortions. Most cases where abortions were required: incompatible with life, trisomy 18, mother’s health is questionable, rape, invest, etc. Please educate yourselves, whether you’re against it or not. This is to protect your mothers, sisters, daughters, nieces, grandmothers, granddaughters, etc.

Having it state makes it so there’s less chance of a president going in and doing away with it. Abortions for rape, incest, and mothers’ health are still federal and fully supported by the administration. The only thing not supported are what could be called vanity abortions (eg, the mother just want to abort just because)… thats state level.

Why? So that killing babies in the womb becomes legal? That is not a federal issue, the states should have their own laws and be free to follow their resident citizens make that determination. Federal government was formed to protect our country from foreign interference and protect our boarders.
It’s not true that abortion was left to “states-only.” I hear that often, but it’s not actually true. The Supreme Court, for example, said that it is up to “lawmakers” from BOTH states AND “Congress.” And the 14th amendment has always allowed federal regulation of “inter-state commerce” (which can include abortion and medical standards) and for the protection of due process rights for each “PERSON’S” “life, liberty and property.” Supreme Court has even affirmed the constitutionality of federal laws that the GOP claimed was unconstitutional and/or violated states rights, such as Obamacare and EMTALA.
I created a proposal that addresses the top concerns about abortion AND pro-life laws. I explained the constitutionality in the first few paragraphs, and also in my many responses to the “states-rights-only” people.
The very first paragraph summarizes the whole idea, and the actual content of my proposal comes after a few disclaimer paragraphs/my MAHA letter.
