People were fired and their religious exemptions were denied for not getting the COVID vaccine. Personally, I worked at a company that I had over 25 years in, and they denied my religious exemption and I was fired and also denied unemployment. I am a single mom. Something should be done.
This should absolutely be implemented.
I agree with this proposal, and would add if you were fired, require companies who fired their employees to pay back pay for lost wages. Even if they rehired the employee, for the time they were not working, because like you said, to be denied for unemployment meant people just lost a lot of money and put it all on credit cards.
And fire the firers–who no doubt will think it highly unfair and arbitrary.
However, then, they’ll finally know…
i lost my entire savings because i lived on it. I believe God provides and has carried me and my daughter but it’s the whole point. They punished us. Made life difficult
I agree with this proposal, I would add that we should offer backpay for citizens and military veterans who lost their jobs due to COVID vaccine mandates. I myself am a veteran who lost my career after my religious exemption was denied when I was told I could not submit a medical exemption. I can attest the fact that it is extremely difficult to pursue justice for this, and I would like to amend the proposal to include automatic compensation for those of us affected.
Your story is identical to mine. I created a policy request for reparations (from big pharma) for vaxx refusers who lost their jobs:
I’m a father of 2 and the sole breadwinner for the home. You can imagine the anxiety and trauma this caused. However, I stood my ground with my religious exemption. Given the same circumstances I wouldn’t change a thing because God was with me.
Someone needs to be held accountable.
Yep I was fired for not taking the jab, caused a lot of pain and suffering!
Amen to that
I propose a compensation. My job offer was rescinded due to vax refusal.
I contacted my local EEOC office. Because the employer used the hardship clause I would have to fight on my own dime in court.
I knew people, very close friends, who worked there. They stopped regular covid testing on the staff at that point, so it was no hardship but a get out card.
SCOTUS needs to review the applicable statute.
In any case, the job is no longer available.
Its been 1.5 or so years.
I suggest 1Million per offense per person in this regard. Though, some damages cannot be reduced to dollars and 1M does not quite cover it.
I have the receipts.
That’s the whole point of my policy petition. Please visit and like/share:
I was forced to resign from my job due to the jab mandate. By resigning voluntarily the company placed me on their rehire list for the future. As far as I know they never rescinded the mandate. They announced they would continue their mandate even if the mandates were ended by the government or court decision.
That was the best job I ever had and now I cannot find work at all anywhere.
I think us people who resigned due to jab mandates deserve some consideration too….
Same here. I had to cash in my retirement accounts and in 10 years when I can finally retire I won’t be able to afford to do it.
