Most people are unaware that several years back Congress took it upon themselves to remove the only whip “We the People” had in controlling the operational structure of the Federal government.

The power of the Reinstated Federal Referendum should allow for lawful and legal American citizens to vote on governmental mechanisms that direct the activities of our elected officials. Once, the referendum has been accepted by the American people, it shall immediately be written into the Federal Register as active law. It does not require any further approvals of government officials.

Through the votes of the people, the Federal Referendum can be used to create term limits for the Congress. It can be used to reassess Congressional salary structure, and limit their pay to a fractional percentage of the National GDP. It can be used to determine which wars, if any, we as a Nation will participate in.

Federal Referendum should be held every ten years during federal elections the same year as the Census

Any expenditure > $1B should go to referendum (or replace with some other dollar amount). They shouldn’t be able to throw 10’s of billions of dollars at anything they want…snuck inside spending bills. It’s a gross mismanagement of our tax dollars with no consent from the American people.
