Regulate union endorsements

I am a Union Book, dues paying Union member, I have come to realize over the years that the Union endorsements that come from the Union bosses often differs in opinion from the rank and file. The Union, without consent, takes money from the checks of Union members every single week for that unions political action committee. The problem with this is, the union blindly endorses the candidate without say from the rank and file. This election cycle is the first time that I’ve seen a handful of unions take a vote from the rank and file and endorse that candidate based on how the rank and file votes. The teamsters however, took a vote from the rank and file, and while it was an overwhelming majority that supported Trump, the teamsters declined endorsing him. It should be illegal for the union to take our money and donate it to a candidate that we do not want to endorse, and it should be mandated that every single member gets a vote, and the result of that vote is who the union endorses. The simplest other solution for that, would be stopping the union from withdrawing that money from our check to endorse a candidate, without the say of the rank and file, or make the money that they deduct a write off for that member. The Union bosses hold the power of the union, and defeats the idea of what the union was created for, to give workers a voice.
