Each region has a unique perspective and culture. These differences should be specialized within the region. Keeping them unique and encouraging students and the public to grow their own economy. Obviously certain curriculums should be standardized such as math and reading. But California has different history, culture and needs than say Rhode Island.
Wouldn’t removing the Department of Education accomplish this? Sending the education back to the states and making them fund and come up with their own curriculum would ensure that each region is teaching to their strengths and abilities. That’s at least what they were doing up until the DOE was established in 1979.
