Redundant Insurance

Okay, So I have resigned to the fact that the Affordable Care Act is an unstoppable snowball at this point.
One thing in all the discussions that I have not heard addressed is how is it going to affect our medical insurance that we are currently required to have on our Auto and Homeowners policies? Really! Think about this for a minute - If we all have medical insurance now, why do we need to pay for it on our Auto and Homeowners policies? I understand still having liability coverage to cover loss of property and pain and suffering, etc, due to an incident, but medical now seems redundant! Shouldn’t we see some sort of savings here especially since the health insurance companies would no longer have to shuffle money around attached to blame? If we are all insured now, doesn’t it make sense that we get medical treatment regardless of cause and our own health insurance company would just pay and not have to spend time and money researching whose fault it is?
Have I missed something? Or are we all going to keep paying and paying and paying?!
