Reduce obesity by modifying SNAP eligible foods

To reduce obesity rates, especially childhood obesity, restrict EBT purchases to only those items that are WIC (Women, Infant and Children) approved. This restricts food stamp dollars to healthier items such as non-sugary cereals, milk, vegetables, peanut butter and non-sugary juices. Too many food stamp dollars are used for premade meals high in sugar and fats, soda, chips, and sugary cereals. Not only would this reduce the caloric, fat, and sodium intake of those that are SNAP eligible, it would also reduce the incidence of food stamp fraud by not being able to purchase junk foods and then sell them at reduced prices to convert the SNAP dollars to cash.
