There can be no meaningful impact on illegal immigrants in this country until their means of gaining employment is taken away. And, there can be no means for that until there are huge penalties for employing or aiding any illegal in this country. E-verify has been a joke and until there is full enforcement and huge penalties, the concept is just word speak. Since a huge majority of illegals go door to door to gain jobs, the system should require even a handyman, or yard worker register for a database and the homeowner have easy access to this database, making the homeowner liable as well if they employ an illegal. The days of the rich and even politicians complaining about illegals while using them as a source of cheap labor must stop. All incentive must be taken away from immigrants and from citizens in order to make a real change in the mess our government has allowed to occur. I know this sounds like more government overwatch, and I am generally against it, this is the only way.

Contractors are using illegal labor force to keep wages down by flooding the job force with illegals in order to keep wages stagnant.
