An entire way of life died off when manufacturing went overseas. The Heartland is littered with semi-abandoned towns that once flourished with locally-based economies built upon manufacturing plants.
Now, society is driven to the large city and the urban sprawl of surrounding suburbs, with mass populace crammed into small areas rather than spread around.
With the anticipated return of manufacturing to the USA, I expect the factory town way of life can be re-established.
I propose incentive packages for returning businesses to establish themselves away from existing population centers where fresh localized economies can exist and cause population disbursement across the nation.
