Raise the minimum wage to match inflation

Minimum wage adjusted for inflation is down over 40% from 1960

Someone on minimum wage today has lost 40% value for their work, for the same work, as someone in 1960. Think about that!

Minimum wage should be raised to $12 to match inflation and it should be automatically adjusted for inflation every two years

This really shouldn’t be a controversial or partisan issue. It’s common sense!

Of course there’s a lot else wrong with the system we’ve had since 1971

Fix the money. Fix the world.

I haven’t heard of minimum wage that low as you mentioned. Steel mills in the 1950s were paying janitors $25/ hour. This is why, I believe that after all this time, more than 70 years later our Minimum wage should be at $25/hour. This would give people $48,000/ year. A family with 2 bread earners would be middle class.
