Teachers do not get paid enough. There are some teachers with degrees and that have worked 20 years and can’t retire and make basically the same amount as new teachers who were just hired.
Teachers with tenure and degrees get priority and those teachers who are about to retire deserve additional allowance to their pensions
In contrast, citizens are required to save for retirement on their own, setting aside money from each paycheck. Despite their efforts, many won’t end up with $1.5 million (equivalent to saving $50,000 (pension) a year for 30 years) in retirement savings.
I believe with higher pay for our teacher/educators is a must! With all that they have to endure, working damn near 12 hour shift five days a week half of the year. Not only that but but not always being safe in what seems like it should be one of the safest places to be. However this must come with a higher standards in order to become a teacher.
1- There should never be bias (aka) emotional intelligence do your job and go home. Keep your opinions out of your lessons
2- You should be qualified and passionate in the subject you teach. (No reason why we should be having our gym teachers teach any subject)
3- Should be a sane person!
4- Teachers should know any and everything about the subject they are teaching, not just the required curriculum they’re supposed to teach.
Parents should be encouraged to homeschool their children.
