We are all for Policing in the United States, but there has been too many police officers that think they are above the law and infringe on our rights as citizens when we know our constitutional rights as Americans. Too many times police officers used qualified immunity to be able to get away with just a slap on the hand and not be held accountable. Anything from lying about traffic stops, or planting evidence, or harrassing innocent individuals, warrantless searches should be punishable by law. The police are public servants that work for the American People and not the other way around. Removing qualified immunity from police officers would allow citizens to be able to sue the officer that infringed on their rights and actually hold that officer accountable for their actions.
