Publicly Funded Federal Election Campaigns

I recommend that we amend the manner in which Federal Election campaigns can be funded. First eliminate all PAC’s and lobbyist money. Second have the taxpayers fund each campaign up to a certain dollar limit depending on the office. More for Senate and less for House races. Third, limit the amount that any candidate can contribute of their own personal money. That should level the playing field with very wealthy individuals trying to influence their campaigns with large pools of personal wealth. Also, limit any in-kind contributions of any type from media, corporations, non-profits, etc.
