Every publicly traded company in the world follows and publishes GAAP or IFRS statements. Why should the government get a pass?
I want to see profit and loss, and balance sheet financials which adhere to the financial standards that everyone knows and reads regularly. There’s an incredible amount of balance sheet unfunded liability malarkey that happens when a “balanced budget” is touted. Don’t let that be hidden anymore.
