The United States is losing millions of acres of farmlands not only to foreign entities but to domestic development stealing land from farmers by leveraging entities granted the power of eminent domain/condemnation.
To counter this any farm participating in any of the USDA’s programs or their state’s equivalent programs should be protected from losing their land via eminent domain. Without farmlands to produce food, Americans will become reliant upon the government to provide and that is never a good thing.
