I think it’s very important for this administration to realize that trans people are truly not a threat to Americans. I agree that minors should be protected. But adult transgender people shouldn’t have to worry about losing their ability to healthcare, medicines etc, also they should not be banned from serving in the military. If someone is willing to serve they should be able to.
I don’t care what adults to do themselves. I really don’t. I do agree that they best keep it away from children. I disagree that trans be allowed in the military. The military is for protecting this country, not paying for trans to chemically or physically alter their gender. I also think that in the public sector, you should have to pay for any and all of it out of your own pockets, and not burden the healthcare system with these medical procedures/etc… This is like elective surgery, akin to a boob job. The military doesn’t pay for that either.
I think it’s very important to protect the rights of all Americans, including transgender ADULTS. I do NOT think it’s correct for transgender adults to NOT have access to medical services and/or the hormones that they have already been taking. I believe that transgender adults that transitioned BEFORE DJT became President should be grandfathered with their insurance so that they can continue to receive the medical care they need.
We do need to protect the children. Children should not have access to “gender affirming care”. One cannot vote until the age of 18, cannot consume alcohol until the age of 21 and the brain does not fully mature until the age of 25. Children & minors should not have the ability to make lifelong decisions regarding changing their gender, especially when it comes to surgery.
I have no issue with transgender adults in the military as long as the military is not paying for their transgender surgery and/or hormone therapy. I do have issue with transgender women in women sports and transgender adults pushing their agenda on our children. I believe in live and let live as long as you don’t hurt someone else, especially when that someone else is a child.
