Propaganda by News

Freedom of Press as provided for in the constitution is meant to protect the press when they are reporting accurate news. It is not meant to allow them to lie to the public. We have several news channels who report propaganda as if it is truthful news. These channels fail to ensure that the public understands the difference between the news and opinion related content. They utilize clips of what people say, twist their words and make it appear that people said things they did not say. This is dishonest, has led to division in our country, and some people being completely panic stricken.
The news should clearly identify that they are reporting the news. If they state to the public that they are the news and report fictious content that should be heavily fined and possibly lose their license.
When news channels have opinion related shows those shows should clearly be identified as opinion related content to the public.
If you show a clip of what a person says you should have to show the full clip, not just a snippet designed to make someone look bad.
If someone on a network reports falsely, utilizes a snippet to make someone look like they said something they did not actually say, that network should be heavily fined.
