This country needs new energy sources that are clean, environmentally friendly, and safe. Solar and wind are boondoggles of epic proportions, and our needs cannot be met by them. But we’ve been sitting on a source of safe and clean energy that most have ignored due to ignorance of the subject matter: Nuclear power. Specifically, Thorium-based reactors.

LFTR technology was pioneered in Oak Ridge, Tennessee and has been examined and copied by the Chinese. They have new reactors based on this technology being built now. It’s utterly absurd that we pioneered this technology but are refusing to use it while our enemies freely do so.
We need to focus on building small, efficient, and more importantly fail-safe Molten Salt Reactors, so that we can decentralize the American power grid and spread out power generation across America. This will create opportunities as well due to having a power surplus. This can be used for manufacturing, desalination, or many other high-energy projects like harvesting seawater for plastics and minerals. This will cause an economic boom and propel the United States forward in a technological Renaissance.
