PROHIBITION OF PAYMENTS TO MEDICAL PRACTITIONERS FOR VACCINATIONS
(a) Prohibition
No pharmaceutical company shall provide any form of payment, financial incentive, or compensation to a healthcare provider based on the administration of specific drugs, medications, or medical treatments to patients.
(b) Scope of Prohibition
This prohibition applies to any form of compensation, including but not limited to:
- Direct payments
- Discounts, rebates, or kickbacks
- Funding for continuing medical education
- Consulting fees tied to specific drug usage
- Sponsorship or support for medical conferences or events directly related to promoting specific drugs
(c) Exceptions
Payments made for legitimate medical services not tied to the administration of a specific drug (e.g., for general healthcare services or non-drug-related procedures) are not covered under this prohibition.
