Private Neighborhood Clinics and Home Doctor Visits

Private Neighborhood Clinics and Home Doctor Visits Legislation

  • Health care has become too expensive
  • Insurance companies have created a managed care system that is high in cost and low in care for most people on health insurance
  • Most of the health care that is needed through most of our life time is preventative, non severe illnesses, wellness check ups, and the like.
  • The Cost and time waisted making appointments for basic health care needs through managed care systems is inefficient and impractical
  • I propose legislation that will allow licensed doctors and nurses to establish local, private practice clinics that will offer basic health care and even specialized care to patients and clients on a pay as you go basis.
  • Health Insurance will not be necessary to receive care in these clinics.
  • Prices will be set by the private practices and will be posted on health service menus for each client to see.
  • The service and payment for health care services will be handled directly by the private practices.
  • These clinics will be allowed to form affiliations to hospital groups for more serious health referrals and more severe health care problems.
  • Catastrophic Health Insurance can be obtained and paid for by those who opt out of Comprehensive Health Insurance plans to be available to cover severe illnesses and hospital care.
  • These private practice clinics will be allowed to operate in neighborhood offices and as a private business and outside the HMO and other Managed Health programs.
  • These local private practices will also be able to provide pediatric, prenatal, adult, and senior adult home care visits. Doctors can practice by combining clinic hours and home visit practice hours as needed.
  • All prices for services will be set by the private practices and will be a pay as you go, patient to office payment without a health car insurance provider being involved.
  • Pharmacy services may also operate on a pay as you go, menu driven prescription filling service when prescriptions are ordered from Neighborhood Clinics.
  • Clinics must meet state health standards and must pass inspections to obtain and keep a license to operate.
