Politicians and those who work for/with them should be required to post publicly which lobbiests made contact directly or indirectly and about what legislation or topic/issue. There should be transparency for public input to issues not backroom deals.

That’s a really great idea! In fact I would go further with it and say they must have a public sign-in sheet for everybody they meet with including other politicians and who they have spoken with or emailed back or voice chatted any kind of contact with between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. and even later if it has anything to do with government whatsoever.
