I totally agree there should be no conflicts of interest an no mandates.
Quite comprehensive! I clearly donât know as much as you in the area so I feel a little apprehensive about my suggestion but I think functional medicine alternatives would be appropriate to add into this. Functional medicine is similar to holistic medicine\care but does differ in several significant ways. Thank you for sharing your talents and insights Iâm for all of these ideas!
There is a wider problem with the CDC foundation which I am certain exists in the foundations of the other public health agencies. CDC is allowed and does contribute to The CDC Foundation. The purpose of The Foundation is ostensibly to allow CDC to accept funds from private AND public sources to conduct certain activities outside of the United States that have not been approved by Congress. CDC contributes to its own Foundation. So in a very real sense CDC is using its foundation to launder money. My solution is to eliminate The CDC Foundation as well as the foundations of FDA and NIH.
I believe if the public health agencies are stripped of all functions other than what were established in their enabling legislation you might reconsider.
I am beyond grateful for the MAHA movement and the work you have all been doing to create change on behalf of our children and their future. I lost a child at 18 to suicide in 2009 and started a mission in his name www.benspeaks.org I beleive in acting locally and thinking globally. Ben Speaks would love to be a part of this wave for change. We are bringing wellness challenges to schools through the wellness coordinator here in Massachusetts. My sonâs mental health was deeply impacted by our food and the drugs they prescribed him. I am today an advanced grief recovery specialist for mothers. One facebook page in 6 months is home to ove 16K mamas who have lost their kids today and so many that could have been prevented. That is JUST TOO MANY grieving families. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. From the bottom of this mamas heart, THANK YOU
Leslie, my guess is that Iâm the only person on this forum who has worked at CDC/NIOSH. I am a retired Officer of the Public Health Service Commissioned Corps and for 30 years I worked at the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health where I developed, communicated, and defended public health policies to support OSHA efforts to promulgate new and revised workplace standards for chemical, biological, and Physical hazards. From the inside looking out your policy positions are spot on. I would suggest several revisions.
First, the ACA must be repealed. But there is another part that is very problematic for rural health; 35 states have Certificate of Need (CON) legislation. The CON was intended to ensure âequityâ of health care delivery throughout a state. However, it is being used by large healthcare systems to eliminate competition by other healthcare systems and to drive the small rural hospitals out of business. This has created monopolies that control what insurance will taken, what services, will be offered, and which physicians will be allowed to practice. One result is that people in rural areas may have to travel long distances to obtain healthcare beyond the routine or urgent care level. Perhaps, restricting federal funding to those states that have CON legislation would end the practice. Iâve written about the CON and its effect on state politics in KY in Larryâs Letters on Substack (see The Boone County Papers).
With respect to your position (7) I couldnât agree more but I believe that a better approach would be the complete elimination of the CDC and other agency foundations. The primary reason for doing that is the fact that CDC is a contributor to its own foundation. In short, CDC is using its own foundation as a laundromat for taxpayer dollars to fund projects not approved by Congress. If Congress sees the need to fund projects in other nations it can do so through directed grants.
With respect to your item (8.) I would opt for 10 years â firm. Changing administrations can find a workaround to 5 years but if itâs 10 years firm with no exception Senior employees GS12 and above plus Senior Executive Service employees will have no value to the industries they oversaw. This must also restrict acting as a consultant.
There are a couple of other points that I would include. First CDC and the other agencies must be returned to their original legislatively mandated functions. That means that a program audit must be conduct and things CDCâs Resources for LGBTQ+ Youth and their âgun violenceâ program, must be ended. There are others.
The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health must function free of the constraints imposed by parent agencies Cabinet status will do that.
The US Public Health Service must be reorganized, Under the current Surgeon General the 6000+ Officers are engaged in supporting a variety of DEI activities or are engaged in âpaperâ research in the public health agencies. PHS Officer should be reassigned to direct care provision in rural areas beyond Indian Reservations and the federal Bureau of Prisons.
Just as your list is a framework so is mine. But I believe that what we are suggesting are things that can be accomplished in a year â perhaps a bit more but not much.
Yes, it have elevated healthcare costs by creating a monopoly and simultaneously driving other cost effective and effective healing modalities, independent physicians, and smaller hospitals out of the picture.
All healing modalities would be included.
Thank you for this very useful input, Lawrence. I will do what I can to see that it is considered.
That would be greatly appreciated.
Leslie, thank you for taking the time to break all of this down and really lay out some of the issues. I was aware of some of it, but not all of it!
I worked with these agencies!
They were established to enable large corporations
and kill small companies and all cures.
To enable pharma and kill natural remedies.
Europe did not have an âFDAâ untill 1995 (EMA)
guess who funded EMA? pharmaceutical industries and the EU ⌠NOT the people!
FDA reviews pharma studies but does NOT check if they are fraudulent.
FDA is the one that took to court Dr Burzynski 40 TIMES and spent $60 million in legal fees to destroy a doctor that cured cancerâŚ
FDA IS NOT approving a natural remedy made by Boyd Haley (PhD in Chemistry) that gets rid of Mercury in a few months. we have no remedy for mercury poisoning in this country at this time.
This remedy showed it worked in every FDA required study and had no side effects. Yet after 15 years no approval but lethal Covid vaccines were approved in 1 year?
CDC pushed for lockdowns and FORCED dictatorial orders during the scamdemic.
USDA? There to kill small farmers and wonât allow a citizen to bring a fruit plant for their garden EVEN IF THEY PAY TO TEST IT FOR DISEASES AND PESTS.
We lived well without these agencies before and we can do it again!
In USA everything is a business and pharma has the strongest lobby in congress. We will be drugged for life if we keep them there.
What Do I want instead?
People have a disease? All therapies can be used on them and the one that works best will receive funding.
Guess what works best? Natural Remedies that Pharma is destroying.
High Blood pressure? pharma gives you a drug that weakens your heart and destroys your kidneys. Nice
Ayurveda gives you an herbal remedy with no side effects that works in one day. Why is the second one not used by doctors? Natural remedes cannot be patented so you donât get it! No money for doctors nor Pharma.
Yes we HAVE to get rid of these agencies NOW. They are cartels and they will ALWAYS be cartels.
Donât be naive and think you can delegate these important decisions to a third party and they will have your best interest in mind. It wonât happen.
Health insurance has to pay for ALL remedies and the ones that work without side effects will become the most requested. We vote with our $.
EWG, independent testing groups are helping us WAY MORE than USDA, FDA, CDC, and so on.
So who checks the food we will eat?
Transparency. Companies will have to disclose their protocols and people can see them and make their decisions. Just like we used to do it in the past!
Mdicine and food does not need to be toxic. If you llow the old remedies back you wonât need these agencies because you will be cured not poisoned.
we were injured by pharma with FDA approved drugs and foods. First time your fault ⌠Second time my fault!
Guess who cured our injuries after 400 doctors werenât able to? unapproved FDA & CDC medicines.
Why they are not approved?
Because cures are not profitable to anybody ⌠Except us.
I absolutely agree with you, Leslie! I will work with you tirelessly to make these policies a reality for all Americans.
Blessings,
Dr. Mitch

This is excellent Iâm so looking forward to this being implemented America is a very unhealthy nation and it does not need to be so
YES! This is so important!! Gene altering with out our knowledge is a huge issue. mRNA vaccines. Read up on how crisper works then youâll understand the impact of the mRNA vaccines.
Yes to all of these provisions. Absolutely
One more point. Roughly 40% of FDAâs budget comes from user fees paid by the pharmaceutical industry so that FDA can regulate them. This is a practice that must be stopped.
There are some functions that are necessary, f or example, meat inspection and insuring that consumer items do not contain harmful substances. In our passion for reigning in these agencies â quickly, we need to be careful that the baby is still in the bathwater.
Wow, more awesome suggestions on an already amazing post! I love so many of these ideas. I also agree that a 5-year cool-off seems too short. I feel ideally once you work in government regulating the industry, you should never have a job in pharma again. Hopefully then people who took the government jobs would do it out of a sense of duty to protect the public and not for strictly career or financial decisions. But 5 years would be better than what we have now, and 10 even better!
As far as no medical mandates (1), I would love to see this enshrined in a health freedom constitutional amendment. Laws can be repealed, court cases can be overturned or have new judges with a fresh perspective making different judgements, but constitutional amendments are very hard to repeal. I realize too that they are very difficult to pass. But as more is exposed of what has been done to humanity over the past 4 years especially, I hope the public support would be great enough to accomplish such a feat.
You need to add the university research teams as well. I seen the conflict of interest at unprecedented levels in my career. Another issue is parents rights to decide for their children.
