I retired from the US Public Health Service (PHS) after a mostly successful 30 year career at the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health a CDC agency. At NIOSH I wrote public health policy to support OSHA rulemaking for new or revised workplace safety and health standards. I was “mostly” successful because I ran afoul of CDC when I was writing a book on healthcare worker safety and health and mentioned that HIV could be found in every body fluid – a fact that CDC objected to. That was the first time that I realized that CDC’s health was more important than public health.
After I retired and until the era of tech censorship began I started the FB page “Kentucky for Trump” which quickly grew to about 8,000 followers. On November 9, 2020 the 2,000 plus daily visitors dropped to 2. I now write the cleverly named Larry’s Letters on Substack.
Larry’s letters presents science policy analysis of the COVID debacle, as well as an extensive journey into the governments role in promoting LGBTQ+ ideology.
As part of the section, The Covid Chronicles, I offer a three part series called “Righting the Ship” where I present an insiders view of how to “fix” NIH, FDA, and CDC.
